Monthly Meetings - 2018 Programme of Events

Join us for yet another fun and varied programme throughout 2018. If you have a hobby, interest or know of an exciting speaker that you think we may be able to include in next years programme, please email Wendy on president@fulshawwi.org.uk or by using the Contact Us page. We have been working very hard to plan and book our events and speakers for 2018 and our programme is now complete and shown below:
15th January 2018
For our first meeting of the year, we look forward to welcoming award winning Shari Royle, an Inspirational & Motivational speaker with a real difference. Shari a former Cheshire Woman of The Year, is ambassador for and involved with, a number of charities including Facing The World and The British Association of Skin Camouflage. At the age of 20, Shari had the whole world at her feet, and was on her way to a successful career in advertising when one August Bank holiday a twist of fate changed her life forever when she was involved in an horrific car crash.
Shari is often referred to as a force of nature, she is warm, infectious and believes there are no boundaries to success that cannot be overcome and that life is full of opportunities. Her talks are always thought provoking and always delivered with emotion and humour!
12th February 2018 Jodrell Bank and Wilmslow Wells for Africa
Following on from the fascinating evening that several of our members enjoyed recently, Dr Althea Wilkinson, has been invited to come and speak to us about her research work at Jodrell Bank which centres around e-MERLIN, an array of 7 radio telescopes connected to a central correlator at JB Observatory.
We also look forward to a talk from Jenny Gibbs from Wilmslow Wells for Africa, a direct action charity that provides wells, pumps, dams and water collection equipment in drought-stricken areas of Africa and a charity which many of you will have baked cakes for or attended their fundraising souperdays
19th March 2018 Kerry Leigh - Comedian
Kerry Leigh, who writes all her own comedy material and does all her own washing (!), will be entertaining us this evening in her very own unique way. Guaranteed to build an instant rapport with her audience, she is quick-witted and quirky. Prepared to be shocked!
