North East Cheshire Group (NECG)
The Cheshire Federation is divided further into smaller groups where members can take part in joint activities, enjoy speakers which are usually more expensive than the individual WIs can afford and also go out on outings further afield.
We are part of the NECG, along with Cale Green, Cheadle and Gatley, Dean Row, Didsbury Village, Great Moor and District, The Heatons, Middlewood and Higher Poynton, Mottram St Andrew, Woodford, Poynton and Row of Trees. We have two Fulshaw WI representatives - Sheila Parker and Amanda Stevens.
There are two main meetings a year, Spring and Autumn, which are usually held at Woodford Civic Centre, Woodford as well as several outings which are arranged throughout the year. These will be announced at branch meetings and advertised on our website. Any member is welcome to attend these events, for which a reasonable charge is made. It's a great way to extend the hand of friendship across other branches, learn new things and gain by experience.
NECG Committee Meetings are held in Cheadle Hulme. If there are volunteers to attend these we would be grateful to cover our representative's holidays.
