TITANIC at THE LOWRY - MAY 2018
Well they said it was Breathtaking, Magnificent and a Superb Revival and it did not fail to deliver. Eleven ladies enjoyed a superb retelling of the story of Titanic, in music, on Wednesday 9th May at The Lowry Theatre. The performance focused on the hopes and aspirations of the passengers who were unaware of the fate that awaited them. Tinged with both humour and sadness, it deserved all the accolades and awards it has received.

ESTHER McVEY - APRIL 2018
A wonderful evening with Esther McVey as she gave an informative and often humorous recount about women in politics and her view of the rituals of the House, her role models and the ups and downs of the job. Esther is the current Secretary of State for Work and Pensions and gave us a behind the scenes look at how she was informed of her post.
Despite Esther speaking without notes for almost an hour and taking numerous questions we were left wanting more.
Amanda gave thanks to Esther and a presentation of flowers was made. Selina Prescott, Vice Chair of Cheshire Federation, gave her thanks for a wonderful evening and Mary Hignett also from the Board of Trustees attended.
The event was supported by eleven WIs, family, friends and others in the local community.
Everyone at Fulshaw wish to thank them for their support. We are delighted to report that £350 profit raised from the evening was donated to Stockport Without Abuse.

A superb evening at Alderley Edge Golf Club for a Private Dining Experience. The food was amazing, great private room with beautiful views over the golf course.
A quiz gave us our educational element! Anne K and Julia came out on top pipping Jennie B and Rosie by just one point. Jane R and Linda S took the bottom slot.
So nice getting the chance to meet in a smaller group and all agreed that they would love to return.
Thank you Jane for organising another wonderful evening for us.

Although very different in content, both books were a collection of short stories, some fact and some fiction in the first book and all factual in the second.
